Review highlights

Based on 363 reviews

The Pier Cafe is widely appreciated for its fresh, high-quality food and picturesque seaside location. Customers frequently highlight the standout breakfast options, such as bacon and egg sandwiches, alongside seafood specialties like crab dishes. The cafe’s commitment to local ingredients, including well-regarded scones with regional jam, adds to its appeal. Visitors often mention the friendly and cheerful staff, though service consistency can occasionally vary. The welcoming atmosphere accommodates diverse patrons, including those with mobility needs. While the pricing is considered on the higher side, many feel the quality and setting justify the expense. Overall, The Pier Cafe is praised as a charming spot for both casual drinks and satisfying meals by the water.

5th visit in 2 years. We always come back here. Not cheap, but you get quality. Best bacon and egg sandwich on thick, crusty bread ever! We will visit again. It's great to sit there and have a pot of tea and breakfast. Stunning views. The staff can be hit and miss at times.

Being locals and wanting to support good local businesses in Looe, we like to visit the Pier Cafe on Looe sea front, a lovely location with lovely staff, I use a small mobility scooter and are able to choose and order my food orders and park inside, however I do I pick my times and try to not to block the seating area when busy, we had a fresh egg and salad sandwich dressed with crisps and a latte coffee, very nice, I normally take a photo with good food, but unfortunately on this occasion I did not.Cakes are amazing.Thankyou Pier Cafe and always look forward to the next visitGeoff & Lyn

Great place for a lunch or for coffee and cake. Right near the sea front. The lunch menu is quite limited but what it does offer is good. We went there a few times and were pleased with the service and the food each time. Recommend the loaded chips! Just watch for the seagulls if you're sitting outside.

First visited the pier cafe last year. And wow food was delicious! Breakfast is lovely and coffee really nice. Had breakfast again this year and still the same delicious. Really nice to sit outside in the sun looking out to the beach. We always stop off for a drink or two. Staff are really friendly. We will most likely eat here again before we leave next week. Even seeing the baby seagulls on the roof is pleasant.

The pier cafe is a lovely little restaurant just off the seafront so some really gorgeous views to be had here.. I only had tea and scones with cream and jam, but they was awesome, and the staff was really helpful and friendly.. no toilets in the cafe itself, but there is one opposite the cafe. But be worn it is a off the seafront public toilet so not the best top 10 places I'd list...
